It’s always fun when one blows up right in front of your face and you have nitrate marks for a few days (and minor burns, of course).

I’m spending the Fourth in a community that doesn’t allow any fireworks, not even professionally staged community displays. Sierra foothills – the fire danger is just too high, especially this year. I’ll miss the light show, but not the dogs freaking out!

Yep, that’s our “over safe” times.The watch phrase is: the only safe fireworks are unexploded fireworks. The 4th is just not what it used to be.

Can’t blame the camp counsellors. If the slightest thing goes wrong, some money-hungry parent will sue them for more money than they’ll ever have!

Perhaps the camps rule no fireworks, children do not get hurt.I know of a lake a is signposted month ahead no fireworks including a few weeks later.I used to drive by that lake for work.Happy Independence day for the 4th. enjoy BBQ and fireworks. Today is also for some born today. My daughter’s man birthday is today and will help him celebrate. His parents passed long ago.

Kinda like the last few KISS concerts…
