If you leave the refrigerator door closed, everything should still be good for several hours. With the freezer door closed, you will get several days. Most power outages last an hour or less. No need to rush when "saving " ice cream. Last time the power was out in my area, it lasted for 16 hours. After the first two hours, I went out and bought a bag of ice to put in the refrigerator. That kept everything quite well. Things in the freezer were good. Nothing spoiled.
