    If one is not careful, you might run into a thorn bush of some type in all that bramble. Said thorn bush might give you a “hole-in-one” of your golf pants, while you are still in all that bramble and off the green.

    I tried diligently for twenty years to learn how to play golf. All I managed during those two decades of my life was to lose golf balls, catch poison ivy, and kill the occasional snake. One day, I gave it up and threw my bag, clubs and all, into the lake and took up bowling. To this day, I could stand before the Almighty Himself and state that I have never lost a ball in a bowling alley, never caught poison ivy from a bowling lane, and there a far fewer, and almost no reptilian, snakes to be found.

    They are so far off of the fairway the greens keeper doesn’t even bother clearing the poison ivy. It’s one of the hazards.
