Well, an uncomfortable number of them do believe pi equals three.

According to the new math, 8 and 5 make 10.

At those very moments, it is suspected that somebody somewhere divided by zero.

And then the auditors arrived.

Real experts would be amazed that two plus two equals four, which is the sort of amateurish answer given by the non-initiate.

Two plus two DOES equal five. But only for large values of two.

It’s like the speedometer in my BMW; it’s always wrong but in the right direction.

Is this a sort of a homage to Fyodor Dostoevsky?

The key word is “experts”.

Trump said it was so, and his supporters, of course, believed him.

It may have been that 2+2=5 for a few brief moments but 7 × 13 still equals 28

2+2=4 because we say it does. We have built an internally consistent edifice based on that which seems to work. But it is based on unprovable assumptions. 2+2=Green could have also served as the foundation.

2.4 + 2.4 = 4.8. round(2.4) + round(2.4) = round(4.8) → 2+2 = 5. What’s the problem? :)
