Alice: I'm no sure what I want for Christmas, but it should be something big. Dad: How about a greater awareness of yourself in relation to the rest of the known universe? Petey could illustrate it in shoebox-diorama form. Petey: Hee hee hee! Alice: Ew. I don't like homemade presents. Store-bought stuff has nicer packaging.

She reminds me of Calvin just a tad.

Looks like Alice cut his insult down pretty good, without even trying. Go Alice.

How about getting her a pangolin? How big are they?

Holy Cow. I’m really enjoying this dinner table stuff. You know, the repetition within the frame, and stuff. I ain’t enough of a Comics Buff to know if Others have used, as fruitfully, the repeating semi-circle at the bottom, but **-Oh-My-Dear, I can’t get enough. It’s just effin’ gorgeous. If RT would finally realize his parallels between Father and Son (visually and otherwise), stop cluttering the background with useless ephemera, and give Alice a decent haircut, I think he’d be onto something. As things stand, the Whitney’s probably just got him on Speed Dial.

They might not have suggested that if they listened to the radio series version of, “The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” Only one person survived that without going insane, and he wasn’t too far from that already.

You go Alice. Christmas is and will always be about the gifts. Contary to what others say. A greater awarness of yourself? You can do that anytime after your tired of playing with the gifts.

Alice hasn’t been tainted by commercialism, has she? Noooo.

Finally! Mr. Otterloop said something and one of his kids thought it was funny. Definitely a first. Usually they ignore his witticisms or dismiss them.

I like how Petey has his foods so separated and such small portions - so typical picky eater;-)

Alice did a wonderful job of keeping dad’s profound words from penetrating her noggin.

How can one praise individual strips? Brilliant yesterday; briliant today; brilliant tomorrow. And no beagles on doghouses.

Oh, right on, Alice! Plus, you don’t want anything that’s going to go out of style by next season like that would..
