These make no sense to me as ‘5k’ would be ‘five thousand’ and, well, no.
5000 meters or 5 kilometers, but he’s obviously not going to get that far.
5K= app. 3.1 miles.
It might “only” be a 5K, but he got farther than everyone who stayed on the couch.
Do the balloons say “family race day”? Where’s the rest of the families?
