But are they really foreign beers. Or are they just foreign beer companies making their beer locally and just putting their label on the beer? Thus saving all that shipping cost plus import tariffs.
I don’t what they say, Guinness stout does not travel well. The draft Guinness you get in the States, no matter how fresh, isn’t the same as a great pint of the black stuff in Ireland or England ( and there’s even a subtle difference between the Dublin brew and the English copy. ).
Back in the 70s when I was stationed in Spain we always drank the local brew. Mostly because Spanish law required adding a preservative to imported beer….formaldehyde. I’m not kidding, the bars on base smelled like a biology lab.

I’m curious. Since England is an island nation close to Europe, wouldn’t be over channel flights instead of over sea flights?

Whenever I go into Canada, I always make sure to purchase several bottles of HP sauce. ( My favorite condiment.) It’s much cheaper there.

At least Andy isn’t a beer snob. If it’s beer, he’ll drink it, no matter where it comes from.
