Well, yes, there is something that interests them. The sound of the can opener and the smell of the tuna flavored cat food.

Dogs respond a little better to such advances :D

Bet they’d like the box the clock came in.

Go into your bedroom, without the cats, and close the door. Watch the interest begin. What’s behind the door?What are you doing in there? Why can’t I get in? Paws darting under the door. Great sound effects.

A Garfield alarm clock? Does it work at all or does it automatically hit the snooze button for you over and over?

The only thing cat’s can’t feign interest in are human snacks. Especially the cheesy ones. Just the sound of the snack bag and the come running.

Get a little fishbowl with a goldfish, cat TV.

I had some little cardboard circles from packaging.

I would roll them down the floor and the cats loved to swat them and jump on them. They loved the interactive play and would get in hockey position waiting for me to throw the next circle.
