My wife and I plug our two electric cars into our solar panels. “Daily hikes at the gas pumps”?

We smile and wave as we drive past the guy changing the price signs at the gas stations.

We are out of touch with gas prices. Have they passed $2.00 a gallon yet?

Both of our cars display bumper stickers: “Renewable energy is homeland security.”

No dependence on foreign filthy fossil fuels (FFFF-words) nor harming our own domestic environment and climate.

Mr Butts might want to stay away from the gas!

I have little sympathy for US citizens moaning about gas prices, they should try paying ours – they would have apoplexy.

That guy Doonesbury is talking to reminds me of Jack Nicholson, especially in the first panel.

They’re trying this trick again: feel proud to be ripped off and not be able to make ends meet while WE, your beloved leaders, live like emperors. Your patriotic duty is to go without and possibly lose your homes. Our patriotic duty is to make obscene profits off of everything.

Good for you, DD Wiz, but I would like some more details, such as, what’s the capacity of your solar panels, how much area do they cover, where do you live (approximately) and how much did all of this cost you?

And this is how you get people to vote against their own “best interests”: You redefine their best interests for them.

Price gouging is the American Way — gasoline, health care, drugs, cable tv, baggage.

Anything else is, you know, Socialism.

Most people have Qualms, at least until it affects them.
