Real fuel for real cars? Today, that means plugging my electric car into solar panels. We’ve come a long way since 1990 — no need to invade Iraq for sunbeams! (Renewable energy is homeland security.)

In fairness, one small part of their mission was to protect American civilians from the very real probability of Saddam invading and attacking the Aramco facilities, including three towns with several thousand American inhabitants. I remember my sister telling me about watching wave after wave of Air Force planes coming in, and wishing she could hang out her office window and wave an American flag at them. And later during the conflict, SCUDS were aimed at the Aramco towns. So as much as I agree that, yeah, we went to war to protect OUR vested interest in Saudi oil…our military may very well have saved my sister’s life.
The Stone Age did not end because of a lack of stone. It ended because bronze tools became cheaper.” The Oil Age will end, not because we run out of oil, but when a cheaper energy source becomes widely available.

Surprising to hear BD grousing about the use of military force, for any reason.
Will this experience be the one that drives Mike out of advertising? Might it also start Boopsie on her path to leaving show biz?

And the soldier in the background of panel 2 – would that be the character who eventually became Ray?

Not as sexy as a model in a wet T shirt smashing a cheeseburger against the windshield. Andrews needs to do better to get his message across.

We got so serious about oil we invented fracking. Now we are an exporter not an importer.

The sad part is that all the Oil used by America is produced right here in the good old USA.
The stuff we get from Other Countries is brought here and refined into products the oil companies then sell to Other Countries.
It’s not so much a “War For Oil” as it is a “War For Oil Company Profits.”
Our US Army sends troops to die while stealing the oil and Exxon & BP pocket the cash.
