We have already redefined “WORK” a few times.

What is a good word to use in place of doing? Acting, causing….nothing seems to fit.

Everybody’s doing it, doing it, doing it.

Surfing on their phone but eschewing it, eschewing it.

Janis’s shopping Candies, Arlo’s not.

Long sleeves and turtleneck already? It’s still July!

These are all in cluded in the new meaning of “phoning”!

But she’s doing more than Arlo, who seems to be just sitting or wandering around making comments.

If you’re at home already anyway, why not use the laptop or desktop, or even tablet instead of that stupid little display and clumsy touchscreen? I honestly don’t understand people like this.

Janis certainly spends a lot of time on her phone. Good thing Arlo is the trusting sort

How bout changing an old word and call it phoning since talking on it seems to be of no use.

Not to mention it, but we need a new word(s) for “Hanging up” too.

The phone is handy if you’re out and about, but why not use a bigger screen and a keyboard if you’re home? That being said, I had to use my phone this morning because the internet service keeps getting interrupted.

Knowing Arlo’s penchant for English purity, I’m surprised he didn’t notice “doing” is mostly unnecessary.

Is a person who uses their phone for everything called a “phony?”

Janis is becoming a webphone zombie. Take a look at her eyes. All that’s missing is her saying, “Yes, Master.”
