A London cab that shapeshifts? Keep an eye open for a London police call box that doesn’t change. Maybe its operator can straighten out this arc, then remove whatever caused the time fold.
A getaway? You expect that much action from Locher? This arc may last as long as the old series, but even after seeing neonleon59’s link to the future I wouldn’t expect action.
i have to apologize to Locher .When he put four cars with flat tire , I thought that was a very stupid and unlikely situation . But the reality is worse . What about 30 cars with flat tire ! That happened last night in Québec city . A snowplow damage a metal plate on an highway and at least 30 car got damages .

Rene_Simard, snow plows only go to work after it starts snowing. It’s hard to tell with this fouled-up arc, but it looked like it was still raining when the Four Flats of the Apocalypse blocked the intersection. (I don’t know where today’s strip stands in relation to that event, but according to panel #3 the snow has just begun.)
Thick doesn’t use the wrist geenee for policework, as he is supposed to. Actually, he has it on an XXX-Rated app. He doesn’t want Mordred to feel left out, so he’s holding it up for the good doctor to see. After all, it’s Christmas and he hasn’t gotten anything for the doc yet.

Tracy will spend the next two weeks driving Dr. M. to Police Hooters. On New Year’s Eve he will arrive and turn him over to the authorities and the strip will end.

How is it enforced? If a cop notices you talking on your phone while driving, you get a ticket.
Is the law effective? Well people have certainly taken note, as sales of Bluetooth headsets went way up when the law took effect.
Talking on the phone while driving is legal if you’re using a Bluetooth headset, you see.

Re driving and dialing: studies have shown pretty conclusively that the danger in driving while chatting on the cell phone comes from having a conversation with another person who’s not in the car (and therefore serving as a distraction, not a second set of eyeballs watching traffic), and NOT from the physical distraction of holding the phone by your head. Bluetooth, SYNC, and other hands-free systems do nothing to reduce the danger… but in most locales (including Chicago), the hands-free headset makes it legal. We call this “compromise”: drivers are free to distract themselves with cell phones as long as they also purchase an expensive accessory.
I’ve linked to this in the past, but I just watched it again, and felt I should remind everybody that there is something in the Dick Tracy franchise that is even more frustrating than the current comic strip.
