Tess shoots Grimm in the shoulder. He now has sprung a leak

Tracy knocks Sawtooth around. We know he is not weak.

Lights go out sans cry or shout. Tess takes a little nap

Grimm has a deadly blackjack, though some call it a sap.

Let’s party on the patio. Glass sliding doors are shattered

Sawtooth lands on his backside, by Tracy he is battered.

Tracy wins. Yet once again Grimm swings his blackjack hard

Sawtooth wants to take a bite, yet out here in the yard

Police sirens are wailing. Back up is on the way

The two must flee they both agree. Kill Dick another day.

Looks like Sawtooth and Grimm are on the run yet again. It was a careful decision, but Grimm is still protecting his partner in crime.

Knowing what we know, why didn’t Grimm flip?

Apparently, you CAN show a guy getting thwacked unconscious! Will Grimm’s decision to rescue Sawtooth earn him forgiveness for losing the money? Good thing I’m not much of a gambler, ‘cause I was betting on Grimm taking off and leaving Sawtooth behind. Hooefully we find out tomorrow that Tess isn’t seriously hurt…

Grimm’s decision will bite him in the end.

Actually I have to wonder if Grimm is going to try to off Sawtooth himself (whether he’d succeed is a different matter) to get out of his current situation. (Leaving an alive-but-pissed Sawtooth for the cops wouldn’t be the best long-term solution). Otherwise if he thinks that Sawtooth is going to be grateful for saving him, he’s going to find that gratitude has its limits…..

Seriously, how much extra time would it take to finish off Tracy with a gun right there? One second? Sawtooth—what a wuss!

After all the times Tracy’s been beaned (including several times recently) by now his brains should be mush!

What BS!! The house should have been full of cops…

And it was full of discarded guns, Tess’s, Grimm’s and Sawtooth’s, yet he uses a Blackjack, the sap!

They’re going to stick out like a saw thumb driving away from the crime scene in their Ernie’s truck – would think a clean escape is dicy given that every cop in the city has been alerted to be on the lookout for them -

Sadly my prediction yesterday proved true, even though everyone ignored it! Poor Dicky must have brain damage with all the hits to the back of his head. The MCU needs to assign a security team just to watch his back.A good strip shouldn’t be so predictable!

That sap could have broken Tracy’s skull and killed him. It’s leather filled with lead, at least at the “business” end.

Hasn’t Tracy been taking quite a beating in the last couple of stories?

Is Tess like Barney Fife? She only has ONE bullet? She only gets ONE shot? What happened to her that we did not see?

And why is Grimm still standing, much less busting Tracy on the noggin and hustling his future murderer Sawtooth out the door?

Drat! What an ending to an exciting week of strips.

I hadn’t noticed the gray highlights Sawtooth added to his hair. Between that AND the mustache I can’t imagine how Tracy saw through his disguise.

My father was a fireman, and once in a situation much like the one described in today’s Roll of Honor. Thanks for including firemen and other 1st responders in the Roll.

“Pop-Pop” is pretty spry for a guy who’s been at it since 1931.

Geez, Grim(M) sure recovered quickly from that shoulder wound. No blood on shirt, no torn fabric, perhaps no memory by artists? Dicko better get checked for CTE after this arc.

Come on, how long would it take Sawtooth to take a bite out of Tracy’s neck?

Maybe he has the time, maybe not. It’s obvious that Sawtooth isn’t the gambler that Grimm normally is. Better to live to bite another day…

Hopefully the police and the MCU are up to capturing Grimm and Sawtooth…

Today

1. Grimm decides to help Sawtooth and tries to sneak up on Tracy.

2. Tracy turns around and shoots Grimm in his right shoulder.

3. Sawtooth takes advantage of the distraction and jumps Tracy but hears the sirens in the background.

Tomorrow

1. Sawtooth says; “This Isn’t over!” before hitting Tracy in the back of the head.

2. Tess staggers out and shoots Sawtooth in the left leg shoot.

3. Sawtooth manages to get in the truck.

Tuesday

1. Sawtooth drives off.

2. Tess goes over to Dick.

3. They share a warm embrace.

Wednesday

1. Sam and Lizz arrive, late as usual.

2. Dick; “Sawtooth got away!”

3. Sam; “We’ll get him, don’t worry”. In the background Lizz is putting handcuffs on Grimm.

Thursday

1. Sawtooth is driving like a lunatic while foaming at the mouth.

2. View of city zoo.

3. Zoo worker; " We’re feeding the animals late today. They’re starving!"

Friday.

1. Sawtooth crashes into zoo gate.

2. He stumbles out of the truck.

3. Sam; "Sawtooth just spotted at the zoo.Tracy; “Let’s go!”

Saturday 1. Sawtooth; “Gotta hide.”

2. View of small house. Sawtooth in background; “In here.”

3. Sign reads. “Do not enter Lena’s home without supervision”

Sunday.

Lena is fed.

The artwork this week has been beyond superb, too bad this has to be one of the most confusing, illogical fight sequences I’ve ever seen in a comic strip, I blame the writer for that.

Grimm has made his choice!

In the (very) short term, this means both he and Sawtooth live to fight another day, while both Tess and Tracy lie unconscious, their noggins rattled by Grimm’s pocket persuader-blackjack.

But the Dear Boy, or rather, Dumb Bunny, has miscalculated. For, when Sawtooth learns that his hard-earned cash stash has gone to the track, Grimm will have to face the wrath of the frustrated steel teeth: no taste of Tracy, but Grimm’s throat will be a consolation prize. Sawtooth will have learned that he works best (and most safely) alone.

Betimes, the reinforcements finally arrive at House Tracy and clean up the mess—Tess and hubby….
