They should have sprung for a nice electric fan, like I did. I am confident that because of this fourteen-dollar investment, my point of view will eventually prevail as my ideological foes one by one have to go lie down.

It’s been a hot summer here in Florida, much like it has been everywhere else. Don’t really feel like doing much outdoors. And, for the record, I have been enjoying the new Nancy strips.

Ha! A very clever way to break the comic fourth dimension.

I like Jaimes’ work. I just don’t like how Nancy was hijacked to showcase it. Too much good original work never gets seen because we can’t let go of the oldies.

Olivia Jaimes continues to be my #1 hero of the funny pages.

Personally, I thought this strip was “Say What”?. I found it to be a bit stupid, and not at all humorous.

Finally Alley Oop is getting a new writer and illustrator. But for 4 months suffer through repeats unless they use the still good David Graeu written strips.

Nice rhythm between panels, not overly wordy, art better than mediocre. I chuckled @ the gag panel.

Fans are better when combined with air conditioning, right?

I hope Olivia Jaimes is checking around the rest of the internet for comments! Every time one of her strips gets posted to twitter it goes viral. All the artists I know are huge fans, haven’t been this thrilled checking in on comics since I was a kid.

And what’s the excuse when it’s not hot?

Take off your blouse, Nancy. Layers only trap the heat. If they don’t have airco, she could be lying under a tree doing nothing.
