I do get a certain pride and pleasure when the lawn is done and the yard looks good, not enough of it to put in all the extra effort to make the yard look GREAT
You don’t want to live next to “that guy.”
Unless you’re feeding cattle, plant wildflowers/shrubs/trees that benefit wildlife instead of a lawn.
In the spring, I am an “obsessive lawn guy”. By mid-summer, I’m like “Eh, survival of the fittest”.
Living at 8,500’ in the Colorado mountains, I don’t put a lot of work into my “yard”…
I am witnessing the little old lady that hired the best lawnscaping firm in town fight a losing battle against an anarchist lawn from hell.

Adam’s keeping up with Hannigan is getting old. In the winter it’s the lights, in the summer it’s the lawn.
