Actually, I’ve seen boxing or Karate lessons used to help a child learn to channel anger…
they learn to focus, and direct their energy….
and hopefully, come to realise that self-control is key, and that it’s not about beating anybody up, but using your own body well.
I didn’t like the idea of martial arts, but I have to admit that Karate lessons worked exactly that way for two unrelated kids I knew, about 20 years apart.
Boxing makes so much more sense than some wimpy “peace” camp (just another name for the total destruction of individuality). Boxing, martial arts, biking, hiking or some sort of physical activity that requires discipline will help channel aggression better.
The Peace Camp seemed like a stereotype and rather silly and useless but I can’t really advocate Boxing for small children anymore than I would American Football for small children. There is some danger of traumatic brain injuries.
