Forget the $20 bill. The $10 bill is endangered. Depending on what the horrors the Rethuglican House does the next 2 years, the $5 bill will soon be extinct.
And you think Bernanke spending 600 million bucks in funny money he hasn’t got ( and will just have to print ) to buy federal trash that nobody else wants anyway is good?????
That’s WHY the 20 dollar bill is an endangered species!!!!
OOPS! Excuse me, it’s getting late, I must be getting sleepy, make that 600 BILLION! As Everett Dirksen said “A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you’re talking about real money.” Just “A” BILLION? THAT was sure before Paulson and Bernanke, I’ll guarantee you!!
pouncingtiger, they can’t do any worse than the Dumb-o-rats who have run the economy into the ground. At this rate we would have had to use a wheelbarrow of $20 to buy a loaf of bread if we don’t get them to quit printing so much money and making it even more worthless.
@1after: Yeah, the democrats ran the economy into the ground in 2008. And Obama took office when? Good thing we got those Bush tax cuts for the rich. How did that work?
pouncingtiger, I read your ignorant liberal comments on here all the time. If you want to talk politics go to a forum and do so and leave your stupid ideologies off of the comic strips.

Logical error here: the Democrats have not been in charge of the economy. O’Bumbler left most of the Bush appointees in place, on the the theory that having engineered the economic collapse they would best know how to fix it.
a dollar coin makes sense, even a twosie, but Americans are so wrapped in tradition they revolted, despite the cost/waste of printing one dollar bills- kinda like coining pennies. Ah, but just think how much is saved on that ‘bargain’ by paying only $19.99 for something, rather than that outrageous $20!!
The trouble is that the dummies made the dollar coin with Susan B. Anthony’s mug on it! THAT is enough to make ANYBODY revolt!!
The next problem is that they made it about the size of a quarter – although S.B.A. isn’t worth more than two bits!!
If they had made the coin at least as big as the defunct half dollar and put the old Morgan silver dollar design on it, it probably would have been a LOT more popular.
I still pick up pennies, nickels and dimes when I see them on the street. Put them in a can from peanuts, & when it’s full, I have $5. and go out for a Chinese lunch. Every little bit helps.

Yes, ladyfinger86, they are light in the pocket, but VERY heavy in potential fees and taxes when cash eliminated.

@scrabblefiend, you’re lucky. Can’t get a Chinese lunch for $5 where I live.
