What a grouch. Now he’ll be afraid to touch you or anyone else.

I’m sure I patted my grandma’s behind often when I was little. Never got in trouble for it.

When my child was a toddler or right around there, she came up behind me when I was fresh from the bath and standing in my closet to find clothes. She opened my hind cheeks, stuck her nose in, and took a deep sniff! When I screeched that she had no business in there, she asserted that she DID—as a “rump doctor.”

Funny thing, she IS an aspiring doctor, now.

Is it OK if he runs up and hugs her as she’s standing there?

I think she was a little harsh. She could have explained in a loving way, why it is disrespectful. Gotta love Roscoe!
