Humans destroy their own environment.

There was a similar exchange in the movie, “I, Robot”. Will Smith and a Robot named Sonny were debating the relative merits of their species. Smith asked Sonny if a robot could compose a symphony, write a novel or paint a picture. Sonny replied, "Can you? "

And yet birds are known for singing and building structures that can support their family.

Crap – I guess I’m a lower life form ,too…sigh…

Some spiderwebs are true works of art. Of course, they were not meant to be (at least, not by the spider). Amazing that such a tiny brain can produce such an intricate trap.

For way too much more of Mark Twain, if that is possible, search for his “The Lowest Animal”.

Octopi construct fern-like structures in underwater caves that suspend their eggs. They then push rocks and other objects close to the mouth of the cave to help them guard against predators. The result is something that looks a little like a garden (and no, I’m not going to avoid the obvious here). Bottom line, octopi use tools and even have a sense of art of sorts.

Ok, here goes…

I can’t help but think of Trump saying “We write symphonies” as if he was somehow deserving of the credit.

Elephants can paint pictures too!
