Whoa! Fairly blatant misogyny in this one. A recent biography says that Lucy was inspired by Schulz’ first wife. (It couldn’t be based on a sister as he was an only child.)

Next time, Charlie Brown, get a signed document. And make sure it’s notarized!

Charlie Brown sure never catches on to Lucy’s so-called pep talk which she uses to trick him into kicking the football.

That was in 1971. See where we are now in the war between the sexes. The gap seems much wider now to me, than it was back in the 70s.

You’ve come a long way, baby…so long that using the term “women’s lib” is no longer acceptable (let alone “baby”).

Today the football could be a metaphor for a Supreme Court seat.

Charlie Brown would never learn just like Sylvester and Wile E. Coyote.

Lucy and the kite eating tree have it in for CB.

Charlie should have asked WHAT organization. Charlie Brown never asks enough questions. ESPECIALLY of Lucy.

I’m seeing Lucy was a precursor of the feminazis.

And that ritual actually started out with Violet, in the beginning. Schulz just gave it to Lucy, later.

Yup. Typical NFL. All patriotism one day, and disrespecting the flag and national anthem the next.
