My mother’s grandnephew has a worn-out bag to hold his Scriptures, but won’t bother to replace it. (What’s not to like, Petey, about a backpack made up of ultra-light, waterproof, 1,000 denier polyester? Don’t you want your homework to be soggy in the rain or when dropped into a puddle?)

My mom wants me to get a new backpack, and has even offered to pay for it, but I just can’t bear to replace my ratty old NES-controller-shaped one.
