This won’t work well as a joke if people (like me) have to get a dictionary out.

Accessory, slithery, leathery… zzzzzzz.

The point isn’t the meanings…

(Good thing, cos I think “mercery” is kinda obscure and archaic)….

but the sound….

“UR’-sar-y.”

Mark already listed all the words I  can think of that actually rhyme with nursery…

Sorry…. but any other attempts just get…. you know…. worser-y and worser-y…

Yesterday was my 44th mensiversary.

This reminds me of an old Simpsons, where Homer is rejecting names for his son because you could rhyme them and tease the kid. Marge suggests “Bart” and he says “Art Cart Dart Ee-art… That’s OK!”

No matter what you name your kid, peers will find a way to make fun of it. If not a first name, then a last name. Just try not to make it easy for them.

There is some song whose name I have blotted out of my mind because I push the button labeled CD whenever it comes on the radio when I am driving, but it goes on for about 3 or 5 minutes muttering every word that rhymes with “ate.”

Banana fanna fo-fursery…

(I’ve just reminded everyone of a certain age of an earworm they’d hoped they’d forgotten years ago. You’re welcome.)

If the goal is to put the kid to sleep, this will work.
