Just how many kernels did they point into the saucepan? (Andy’s going to have a fit when she sees the mess and tells the boys to clean it up with a broom and dustpan.)

I did that once as a kid….but just once! Mom was mad AND I had to clean it up. It was fun to watch tho.

I have that identical pot and lid, but I never use it for popping corn.

When our kids were little, my husband once remarked that putting them to bed by himself was like popping popcorn without the lid.

I popped corn once with a glass lid on the pan, reasoning that if the lid was safe for the oven, it should work. But apparently the steam produced by popping corn far exceeds the heat of an oven. The lid melted into a puddle on top of the freshly popped corn.

Great attention to detail in panel 3. All those popcorn details must have taken forever to draw.
