Besides… She might lead them to yet another smokehouse. Perhaps being chased all around Endtown will convince Denise to confess, hopefully clearing Foxworthy. Seeing Walter chase down the Butcher may motivate her “customers” to reconsider their eating habits. And hopefully, all that running will eventually help clear Walter’s mind.

This really does not look good. Permitting vigilante justice?

Again, with everything Portia was saying/yelling to Walt, it makes me wonder if her hands are completely clean in all of this.

Well…yeah, I suppose that works. Deputize Walt as a one-bear SWAT team and let him go whole-hog.

Well, the police and legal system were already bypassed by the rats with Foxworthy.

Imagine all the bets being placed by the rats watching all this.

But I do wonder if Jacob would agree with letting Walter catch Denise.

Still with Denise and the pill-pusher gone, Jacob could just send little notes to all the people on his list with a warning that any more murders will result in open season on the folks on the list.

Heh, imagine the effect on the cannibals if Jacob starts telling the police they need to check out some number of people’s homes for unlawful meat.

I wonder if we’ll see a reappearance of any of the newspaper reporters—and if they document and share any of this.

Kill enough people and eventually you’ll kill the right one…. Well, the population of Endtown is in a slight decline at present. Good news is that the 5 year supply of food Jake bragged on should now last an extra 9-12 months. Silver lining, eh?

I have mixed feelings here. On the one hand, this is one way of killing the butcher, if Denise really is the butcher. It may act as a deterrent should the inner circle want to resurrect the cannibal shop in the near future. On the other, it’d be a good idea if Jake could find an excuse to mind scan Denise to identify other members of the inner circle that were interfering with his office and feeding fake news to Foxworthy.

For all the redacted “Portia is part of it” folks. Explain this:

Which is then followed by Portia getting the drug.

Okay, if she were part of the cannibal cabal, at the level you suspect, would he (the pill pusher) be saying those words?

No way.

And remember that Portia was hounded by the callers at the beginning, leading Walt to rip out his phone. If she were part of it, why would they be harassing her? Obviously pill-pusher knew they had attempted to get Portia to comply and failed.

I hope that he’s so drunk that he doesn’t remember any of this.

Second time around he might not recuperate as well?

Since Endtown is like a prison. Jail House Justice.

Natural justice is swift, merciless, and without appeal.

Miss Piggy will spill all the beans just to be safe from harm.

They have to let him go after her; it’s a bear necessity..

And in the next street where nobody witnessed the late happenings around portia and such just see another pig chased by a big butch and do what? Just watch? Step in and stop the killer? Who is Walt then in their eyes?

Even when Walt corners her and she starts squealing (pun semi-intended) she can’t be believed because she’d already attempted to divert blame from herself with lies. She’ll say anything to save herself. With Walt still so drunk and furious to boot, I doubt he’s in any mood to listen anyway.

Vigilante justice indeed. I’m wondering about the aftermath:

Will Portia survive or if she dies what will Walt do then?

Will Walt quietly be acquitted of Denise’s death because it was what Jacob, Velda, et. al. wanted? Will he be acquitted of that wolf’s death?

Will Walt be able to cope with the knowledge that yet again when he wasn’t in full control he killed more people? No matter the justification.

Bears are fast, but pigs are smart.

Where is she going to run? Where is she going to hide? Really? No need for a chase sequence. She may get the upper-hand.

“Well what about the guy Walt just bludgeoned?”“Meh… Patch him up, give him a voucher for extra food and take him home.”

Velda seems a little too quick to condone Walt’s possible killing of Denise. Could it be that she is not totally innocent in this matter? And wants Denise dead to prevent her speaking?

Shoot her.

Glad Wally isn’t there to see this.

Actually, now that I think about it, it may be a bad thing if Walt accidentally triggers the riot that Velda and Jake are trying to prevent. Maybe someone should give Walt a “Not a Cannibal” t-shirt first.
