Do not go slowly into that good night…er…freezing water. It’s best to brace yourself and just run as fast as you can into it until a wave completely covers you or you are just in deep enough to dunk your head quick. After that your body is used to it.

That’s the reason I avoid going into the ocean. Did it once and swallowed enough seawater to still get queasy 50-some years later!

I don’t like swimming in the ocean give me a pool. And its best just to jump in. But for some they do it that way.
