AYYYYYYMEN! the forties are a lonnnnng way away from 21st century….and, there’s no reason to assume a plugger (check the definition above) would not have and use a computer. some of us pluggers were using computers (early nineties) before some of you young whippersnappers* were born

*whippersnapper: someone who only waits a short time for their year to come up on that scrolling

A Plugger would be using the first and only computer he ever bought, and would still be running Windows 3.1.

I finally got my Aunt to get rid of her computer running Windows 98. Kept complaining nothing worked on the computer and no one would give any support. of course all she does is check her stocks and email

I have to go down all the way to 1942, but I’ve been using computers since the late 70s. I keep up to date on them, too.

I have to get down to ‘36 and the first computer (Whirlwind) I worked with was all vacuum tube flip-flops and core memory. It’s in the Smithsonian now.

Who cares how old they are? You either get older or you die.

You don’t have to be young to work with computers, the friend I call for tech support is older than I am and has been working on them since the 60’s. Remember magnetic tape, and punch cards? I do.
