Annie’s inner cat is taking over. Nap whenever you can.

I’ve known a few people like that – you could die before they finish!

Yep, and one of those talkers was at our garage sale, he talked non stop for 20 minutes, we all took turns going in the house, just to stop smiling for a minute.

Hard to be polite, and now I couldn’t tell you what he talked about.

Poor man, he was probably lonely and I bet his wife stopped listening to him years ago!

We’ve had smokey skies yesterday and today from all the fires. Seems like a new one pops up every day. My eyes burn and my throat is sore. Where is our rain?

One of my memories of my sister Martha (RIP) is that her husband used to talk on and on endlessly. She and I made a silent agreement once. She checked her watch and started timing him from the time he stopped talking until he started up again. I think his silence lasted about 3 seconds and we both broke up laughing. He asked what was so funny so we told him that we were timing him to see how long he could go without saying anything. He said, “Oh, so that’s it. Well, I won’t talk anymore”. He managed to keep silent for maybe 10-15 seconds before he spoke again and we broke up laughing again. I miss the times we laughed together.

But the great thing about texting (or commenting here) is that one gets to complete a thought before someone, [SHE who must be obeyed!] interrupts with some meaningless drivel.

Good morning and happy Hump Day, Graham Crackers!

Well, we survived our Laguna trip and ended up staying an extra day! The water was warm and I swam in the ocean for the first time in decades. The teenagers left us alone and his sisters were very welcoming. Sigh, everyone else on this exclusive private beach was thin, tan and beautiful…

I think we have another Moose in Blackjack. He snuck into the baby room while I had Moose in there and he was great with them. While he nibbled their kibble they gathered around him, sniffed him, etc. Then he explored and they all followed him. Not a single hiss or growl from anyone! I finally had to shoo him out.
