Although my “big” girl just turned 8 today (Happy Birthday, littlelightenup!), and she got nostalgic last night about being 7. It was so cute and bittersweet at the same time. :-)
It’s frighteningly accurate: loosing teeth, shots and drugs, doing math (to fill out government forms), falling, getting clumsy. Growing old is not for wimps!
I hope to pass on without a great deal of drugs or forms (bad enough to have forms and stuff for taxes and other financial stuff). I just hope to spend another decade or more enjoying my family and friends and then pass quietly away. I don’t need a second childhood, but am learning new things and accomplishing crafts within those new skills.

Yeah, childhood can be an awful thing. Almost as tough as adulthood. Hmm. then again, some parts of mine were as brutal as adulthood.

I hope my second childhood is better than my first.

The problem isn’t the second childhood - it’s having to go through a second adolescence.

Sometimes childhood can be more frustrating and demanding for the individual than adulthood

You have to be an adult to appreciate childhood.
