@skeeterhawk (from 5 days ago)I described how to get rid of the ads in 2 comments I posted on another earlier strip (look for Firefox).Since then, I’ve also found out that the Google Chrome and Opera browsers have AdBlock Extensions as well. Google Chrome also has AdBlock Plus (not sure if one works better than the other).
@Nancy – Mine too! Fortunately most of her friends are out of the princess stage, but now it’s Disney “singers” etc. Meanwhile, mine is amazing the boys with her knowledge of Ninjago, Legos, and Harry Potter. She knows stuff that they don’t know.
I prefer the “old timey movies” that were made about when I was born (1937) or earlier and I still love dressing like a princess etc of Medieval times in lots of real silk and linen.

She should have dressed up as Princess Vespa!

Star Wars was probably released when her parents were kids, or even before they were born . That definitely qualified as “old timey”.

I love my old timey movies, Ruthy. But you have tp go a lot further back than the 80’s.

Ruthie is exactly like my daughter – we’ve compromized with Pirate princess and Vampire princess, …. I’ve never thought of Princess Leah though.

Wait, Leia never used a light saber in the movies. Could this be Jaina Solo with her mom’s hairdo?

There you go, Princess Leia! I would have picked Pocahauntus. She was an Indian princess and beautiful!

Star Wars still works with the young ones – I bet most of the kids over 4th grade have heard of Princess Leia.
