Tropical moss, not Arctic moss.

Seniors – it is hard living with them when your metabolism is normal (or you are having hot flashes).

After I moved my parents (in their 80’s) in with me, it took two months to destroy my HVAC with me and Mom playing thermostat roulette. I told her she could put more clothes on, but I could only take off so many. So I finished out my basement and moved down since heat rises and basements are easier to cool.

So Opal likes the tropics……

This reminds me of work. It will take more than a cheap thermostat cover to foil me and a straightened paper clip. I have it down now to the point it takes the same amount of time to adjust the thermostat whether it has a cover or not.

It’s going to be in the upper eighties/lower nineties for the next several days (with a high dewpoint as well). Days like this I wish I had the tolerance for heat older people seem to have.

She should just be grateful that she’s in COLOR today……

When I was a kid out playing in the snow with the temps in the 20’s, I could be soaked to the bone but five minutes inside my grandparents home I’d be toasty dry. You could actually see the water vapor leaving your clothes.

Moss? What a Stirling remark, or is that too racy?

If there is moss.. then perhaps, the humidifier is set a tad high.

I just dress warmly.

My elderly parents house…and I like it cool. Why else would I pick a penguin as my avatar?

When my folks moved to an apartment, I went to visit them & nearly fell asleep! The thermostat was set at 80 degrees and my Mom was wearing a cardigan to boot! Now that I’m 65, I’m getting a better understanding of how they felt.
