HarryCK – Guess I’l have to learn more about posting my pictures on Flickr so everyone could see more pictures. I took around 100 pictures and videos, starting at 10:00 in the morning (the water had actually receded a little by then – homes were being evacuated at 5:00 in the morning) and more pictures and videos later on Tuesday as waters receded more, then pictures and video of the aftermath and cleanup.

Well, I wonder what Jack did – if the cops come looking he didn’t do it his note says. Clearly he knows something and he probably did it. I wonder what it was?

I went back to yesterdays’ postings and couldn’t find the flood pictures. Did they disappear?

Queen of America emailed me this morning with three pictures of Blackjack doing some exploring. She asked me to share them with you.

Yesterday I got my lunch stuff out of the fridge and turned around to close the door. This is what I saw. If he thought he was going to find tuna, he was sorely mistaken. All he found were fruits, veggies, Trop 50, eggs, Muscle Milk, Sparkling Ice (pineapple-coconut and black cherry) and Hoods’ Calorie Countdown milk, whipped cream, yogurt and assorted condiments I had just been in the kitten room which is why I had my camera in my pocket. I swear, he’s like a ninja – we never hear him coming. We turn around and there he is. I told him I knew the way to the shelter and to keep that in mind when he was teaching Moosie bad things.

Kitten update: The tuxedo and grey ones got forever homes this weekend. That left just the orange one. I don’t like having just one in there, it gets lonely. A lady here in town rescued two tiny babies in May, has cared for them, got the fixed and vaccinated. She won’t take them to the shelter (good!) so Susan has been taking them to PetCo on weekends. I asked about taking over so mine won’t be alone. The lady agreed (I bet she’s happy about getting a break) so I have another orange boy and a white with tan ears and tail female. My orange boy isn’t thrilled but he’ll be ok. I’m shocked these two haven’t been snatched up. They are sweet, cuddly, gorgeous and playful.

What cat waits until 8 am for breakfast?

This orange cat has been visiting me almost every day since Margie crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Another cat, which looks a bit like Margie, but is a tomcat, is coming by every day and every now and then he’s resting on Margie’s favorite spot. While the orange cat always wants to be caressed, the tomcat is totally shy and timid. I have not even been able to pet him yet, because he immediately recoils if I want to pet him. But he has already carefully sniffed my fingertips.
