Oh please talk to the calendar people, I’m so tired of hot weather! We got a couple of cool days and now it’s hot again. The roller coaster is getting annoying.

Hey! I just signed up with Flickr so I could post some pictures and video of last week’s floood, but I don’t know what the next step is – how to start posting stuff. I took at least 100 pictures and videos total, starting with the peak of the flood and going right through the cleanup work (I even did more yesterday and today (Monday). I just need to learn more about posting these.

Two more cats and you’d have enough for a calendar.

Queen of America emailed me this morning and asked me to post some pictures and information for her.

Kitten update: After two of mine got adopted on Sat, I asked Susan if there were any I could have to keep my last one company. Long story, but she brought me another orange one and his sister. Both are very sweet and playful. The women who rescued them isn’t a cat person but did an awesome job with them. She raised them since April, got them fixed and vaccinated but refused to send the to the shelter so Susan has been taking them to PetCo. I’m shocked neither has been adopted.

This morning, Susan called to say a man adopted this white one with a tan tail but developed a horrible rash so had to give it up. She brought it to me. When it came out of the carrier, it joined right in with the siblings playing with the string toy.

The original boy won’t eat until the others are all done. I have to have two kinds of kitten kibble. He and the new one only like Meow Mixx niblbets. The siblings only like Purina Kitten Chow. Everyone gets kitten gushy food.

Oh no guys! I am "only"on Chesney’s level…how many times I have said,“if I could only bottle this day,and pour it out when I need it!”….wowzer…I need help!!

Regarding my comment yesterday about not seeing my previous posts made over time, I am on my work computer now and I can see them just fine! Yesterday I was on my tablet. I wonder what the difference is, I can see them on one device but not the other.

I agree with Chesney on this one, sane or not! We are under a SEVERE heat advisory for today and tomorrow.

We are finally staying under 95 after a record breaking summer. And there is hope – in less than a month, the aspens will start putting on their brilliant show that comes with much cooler weather.

Update on our rescues! The three “burn babies” all have “forever homes”. “Tuffy” is growing up so fast. He still has a prolapsed rectum and the vet tells us there is nothing he can do since Tuff does not have a tail! This has also affected his gait. His rear legs are weak and very wobbly. It is something we are working on. He has adjusted to having his bum cleaned two or three times a day and loves to play. He tries so hard to jump, but just can’t do it.

On another note, someone left a kitten by my front door. My security cameras show an unknown male leaving a plain box and talking to it for several minutes. When I got it open I found a “Tabico” kitten (5 weeks) with it’s right hind leg partially missing!! Just a stump where the foot should be. She was hungry and curled up with a fuzzy toy and slept. She will visit the vet today and I am sure they will take the leg. I will then have a tripod kitten! They usually do ok, but not sure how they adopt. It’s ok I have at least 5 disabled cats who are all fine.

Just giving you an update on the rescue scene. I never meant to devote my senior years to caring for disabled cats! Guess you don’t get to choose. Oh, well I have nothing better to do.

Hope everyone has a wonderous and peaceful fall and winter. I will update the amputee soon. She is being called “Spice”. Since I have another Tabico called Cinnamon! The latter has vision issues.

There are calendar people???

I was in Wal-Mart today to get decking screws to do some repair work, walked by a Christmas display of Hallmark ornaments, and picked up a “Woodstock” ornament for my daughter for Christmas. Never too early to start shopping, It was 94 degrees outside.

Great pictures today. :)

It was really hot where I live a few days ago. Couldn’t go outside. Thankfully, it’s cooled down now.
