The conspiracy grows as the neighbors were obviously in on the pork harvesting, who are they?

Methinks there was more than one butcher!

The cops are starting to pick up on what Jacob and Velda already discovered. It’s not as simple as hunting down and killing one butcher. It’s a vile culture that’s set in the community and Jacob has his work cut out for him in finding a way to weed it out.https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2017/10/30

Moffat may very well be one of the last few pigs left in Endtown now. And it’s just a matter of time before someone tries to sink their teeth into him…, if he gets any closer to the truth.

Sounds like ET needs to cross reference deceased tenants with apartments to see if theres any more, and prevent new abattoirs from opening.

NAILED IT! The “Pig Slaughter” group is organized like a terrorist group isn’t it? With one cell compromised there are other cells still available to carry out the mission.

    Second frame: pig skull

    see https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2017/08/14

and some of the following days

Frame three: a rib cage hanging down. It does suggest that the rib cage is on a pulley. Or that someone taller and more muscular than Denise is doing butchery. Or both.

    Grim findings indeed.

And both butcheries had deceased prior owners. Which should tell the police and Jacob & the rats that someone in the housing authority was involved in keeping the butcheries vacant. And Jacob has a list of names to start with. Oh, Velda! Bring in this one for us to have a talk with.

Also, re-reading from the link above, the bones the “fishes” put on the hook for Walt to find were an exception in being put in the river where they could be found. Perhaps the cannibals disposed of them over the dam at the downstream end of Endtown. Or ground them up.

Time for Jacob to do some more mind-shredding..

Its like the Holocaust. These neighbors knew. They knew, they all knew, just no one talked and no one cared…….its just Pigs. They are the problem and this was their final solution.

This is why keeping Denise alive would have been a good thing, Velda. You here that, Velda? It’s the sounds of hundreds of neighbors staring at you and knowing you’ll never figure out what’s going on. You should have kept Denise, Velda.

They already have the client list to work from. Everyone had some part in the enterprise,. It shouldn’t be that difficult to identify the ones who had access to housing information. Also, with a group that big, there are bound to be a significant number of weak links. Now that they have a better understanding of what they are looking for it shouldn’t be too hard to roll up numerous chains. There are significant advantages to looking for needles in a haystack when there are a lot of needles in a small, isolated haystack.

Obviously Velda’s plan to stop the conspiracy by eliminating the butcher isn’t working. Sounded really iffy to me at the time. Reinforces my view that Velda isn’t who she seems. You could make a point that her actions are aimed at eliminating competitors, not at stopping the slaughters.

Have the neighbors been quiet because they’re complicit, or silenced by threats of retaliation if they went to the police?

Personally I hope that Velda is one of the good guys. Anyone who can manage a cigarette holder with such aplomb can’t be all bad!
