Calvin’s dad is a lawyer. He could help Calvin update his will. Calvin will wonder why dad picked this moment to discuss that subject.

Absolutely true-to-life stuff for a frightened little kid- why is it always night when they get REALLY sick and delirious?

. . . or something? It’s a stuffed toy. Calvin’s the one with the problem. I grew up in inner city Chicago (1950’s). I never thought I would be happy to say that; but, because I had at least 30 different friends to associate with, I didn’t have to have a stuffed toy. And, because I wasn’t Home-Schooled, I was able to develop social skills. Poor Calvin.

Calvin, after what I have been through in the last 3 years, being sick at night is NOTHING. But, a six-year olds imagination does tend to run wild ! ! !

I don’t know why, but when I was sick as a kid, I would have terrible nightmares about MATH problems! I did hate math.

Get concerned, Hobbs. If you lose the kid, you will have a .50 sticker at the yard sale.

If Calvin were to die at a young age, Hobbes would more than likely be buried with him, so the only thing he’d get to look forward to sleeping in is a coffin.

Calvin I know being sick and not able to sleep at night is a bummer. For me just when I get ready for shower and bed, my phooey brain starts thinking all kinds of bad stuff, makes me mad.

Calvin there is a difference between a tiger who’s up to late and a tiger that’s being kept up to late.

There is one thing less comforting: a hungry tiger when you’re out of tuna fish.
