To me, spooky action at a distance is just a loop variable not getting reset out of the loop. Bad coding in the simulation.

When viewed as code, natural systems are impossible to fully understand. Even artificial things designed to mimic natural ones – like neural nets – are that way. The final result of multiple generations of training, selection and other kinds of evolution (whether natural or artificial) never produces result even remotely like something that was carefully designed from a master plan. At least not the kinds of plans produced by software developers and their managers.

“What if science is just humans adding comments to sloppy code?”

I think it’s more likely that humans are sloppy comments on the code which is science.
