I’ll never understand racism. Don’t get me wrong, I get why it’s a big deal and how it impacts Black Americans. But that’s what escapes me: they’re Americans regardless (or the country you are native to, whatever. I’m using America because it’s my home country). What does it matter what the color of their skin is? It’s just a stupidly minor detail. It’s no more important than the color of your eyes or hair. Only one thing matters: “Are you a good person?” If you are, or trying to be, nothing else matters. The pastor is right: “People are fighting a battle no one knows anything about.” I sure don’t get it.

Best solution is more ethnic groups in the police force, and then ensure the police are in their own communities. If a kid gets shot resisting arrest after a drive by shooting, the claims of racist cops would have little basis in fact.

In fact Chicago should have a vote in the various areas, where the residents could decide if they want stop and frisk in their areas. It cleaned up NYC and it might help Murder prone Chicago.

Most people are struggling with something that is keeping them from their potential. Even the richest man on the planet has a poverty mindset. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be hoarding all the money.
