It’s always the waiting that gets you, especially if you are dependent on someone else.

It’s cruel to have one pet if you’re gone nine or ten hours a day.

Yet a cat’s reaction would be “Oh, were you gone? I hadn’t noticed. But now that you’re back, get into the kitchen and fix me something to eat — I’m starved!”

And the dog has to wait an extra hour today.

In 1975 my parents celebrated their 25th anniversary. One gift they got was a cruise. We had a miniature Cocker Spaniel named Daisy, who was especially close to my mother. The entire week my parents were gone Daisy spent under their bed. She wouldn’t come out for ANYTHING (except “potty”). The noise she made when they came home was nearly deafening!

I can’t even get into my truck before one of our dogs starts howling how he’s been alone sooo long. We have 5 dogs. And a cat. And a bird.

What? No monster?

At least Scruffy’s owner doesn’t have a Roomba which automatically comes out during the day and vacuums. Talk about ramping up the level of horror.

‘Gasp!’ I thought Odie had a stroke or something…

Any dog’s worst nightmare.

One of my cats suffers from separation anxiety. My sister left & (when my cat thought no one was here) the cat started meowing like crazy! :-(

Yet when it’s a cat it goes “You were gone? What an amazing announcement, it will probably be on the new tonight.”
