Randall, if you have read Mr. Trudeau’s work for a long time, you would know that he does not create racial stereotypes. The “crime” suggestion would come from any character as a sign that the character is being completely unlike his real self. I’m sorry you interpreted the line as a stereotype. This is an old strip being rerun and I think the many murder-by-cop events have made you look for intent where there is none.
