My first lunchbox was actually plastic…1963….Alvin and the Chipmunks. It didn’t last the school year. Then I got a metal one, but no characters…it was red plaid. Used that until it wasn’t cool to bring a lunchbox and switched to paper bags.
If you’re from that time, the mid-1950’s heyday of tin litho lunch boxes, I’ll bet you, too, can still remember that unique smell imparted to the interior by hundreds of lunches. I tended toward Roy Rogers and space themes. Never did find Roy Rogers in Space.
They screwed up how I see comics now have to click on each one. Why did they do that. I am prime and won’t be if they keep this up I like reading MY COMICS ALL IN A LIST LIKE IN THE NEWS PAPER NOT HAVING TO DO EACH ONE AT A TIME.

I liked having a thermos, although anything in it would be barely warm by lunch time.
