Our smallish dog, now 14 (and still very fit), had to press against my wife at night during its first 8 years with us. Suddenly it switched, and it has crowded me at night ever since. (A bigger bed didn’t help.)
Our little 15 lb. Cock-a-Poo was laying on his back, with his head on a pillow, on the sofa. My Dad was towards the other end, which must have been too close for Muffy, so with both hind legs he tried to shove Dad clear over to the end of the couch. You should have seen the startled look on my Dad’s face, it was priceless. In case you’re wondering how a boy dog got such a sissy name, it’s because he looked like a fur muff when I first brought him home. :)
Yep, my 20 lb pup would sleep width-wise hogging the bed. When I would re-position him so I could share “his” bed he would give me such a stink eye. Dog forbid I interrupt his one of 42 naps for the day! (I sure miss that little guy “interrupting” my sleep, though)…
I scared Patsnozzle good one morning. Turned to him in bed and said, “My you have a lovely wife.” He turned to face me and found our dog, Truce, in his face, on his pillow and smiling. :)

Or you could just let Sakura have the middle spot :-)

Get a cat. They are master of the quantum state, taking more room than possible with Newtonian physics. She will get both of you out of the bed.

Stop making so much noise. I’m trying to sleep here.

My first daughter did that to me once. About a month before she was born. Getting kicked in the back at 3 AM startled me and I fell out.

It’s like a country music song…sleeping triple in a double bed.

CA King would work as we had 2 95 lb dogs and worked just fine for us. Koko and Sakura are just that size!

Black Lab and Cocker mix. We claimed he was our birth control. He would always crowd one of us out.

Two chihuahua’s and a king size bed, no room left for my wife and me and a cat that wants to sleep on my legs.
