I was 10 years younger than the sibling closest in age to me. by the time I was trick or treating both my brothers were too old to go out anymore so any candy I didn’t eat Halloween night was gone by the next morning between my brothers and parents. I was always amazed by my friends still having candy a week after Halloween.
My parents never stole our Halloween candy, although if we got one of my mom’s favorites, we would generally give it to her anyways. My dad wasn’t a big candy person. Now pie…that was a different story.
My daughter would give me the stuff she didn’t like. If there was something that I liked I might stare at her stash with my sad puppy dog eyes. She would then give it to me to make me go away (give me what I want and I’ll go away).
Easter candy on the other hand was an issue for me. Damn jelly beans.

I’d be more willing to believe in Eddie’s case that it’s Toby eating his candy.

My kids have peanut allergies. I get everything that has peanuts, peanut butter, manufactured in a facility with peanuts. All that is mine.
