The leaves protect the grass and hold the moisture in the ground – best to let them be… Bring on the snow – it keeps the dirt and dust trapped providing clean, crisp air.
My new neighbors solution.. except they did not even do a preliminary raking.. the trees are on their side of the fence.. but I took off 18 large garbage bags in my yard.. The wind this year was not in my favor.

I’ve cut my grass short hoping that the wind will just move them on to the neighbors.
