Again, I like Hammy now, he’s my favorite, I changed my mind on him, I’ve changed, yadda yadda.

When things are going badly you just need to remember that they can’t stay that way…of course, that applies to when things are going well too.

There is always a need for optimists. If you don’t have a dream, how you gonna make a dream come true? (Apologies to Rogers and Hammerstein).

Saw the economic report yesterday, another record number of jobs added. Just more bad news, right?

What was that comment I read, oh yes, “A lie will circle the world before the truth has got its boots on!”. Unfortunately very true.

There actually is good news, not fleeting, temporary news, but eternal, life giving truth. You might also know it as the Gospel. We see a lot of bad news in the world, and it’s true, there is a lot of evil in the world. What’s worse is that we find out that we are each personally responsible for that evil. According to God’s standard there are none that do good. We all lie and steal and covet and commit murder in our hearts through our anger. We violate God’s law countless times every day and because He is good and just, we deserve to receive punishment from Him in hell. BUT the good news is that God made a way for us to be rescued from judgment. God sent Jesus to become a human being, to live and die for the sin of the world. We have broken God’s Law but Jesus paid our fine by dying in our place and taking the punishment that we deserve. Now we can be completely forgiven of our sin and instead of seeing us as criminals, God will see us as righteous! God will let us live forever if we will turn from our sin and trust alone in Jesus to save us. That’s the good news.
