For some strange reason, I still haven’t gotten around to reading Acts. I read the first 4 books of the New Testament in High School and then I kind of stopped.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

Linus always was my favorite character. A genius, a philosopher, a theologian, one of the few really good baseball players on CB’s team, and a loyal friend to CB when no one else was. I really admired him, and then, my second-born son grew up just like him, even to the hair style.

Having spent years in remote places, I occupied my time by summarizing the Bible. I got it down to 40,000 words. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good day.

And that just scratches the surface of the 333 prophesies in the Old Testament that Jesus fulfilled. A Blessed Christmas, y’all! And try a read through the Bible plan this next year.

Sadly, the star and the sheep on the hillside is what people come away with from most churches nowadays. There’s SO much more – Merry Christmas!

It’s so sad that Charles Schultz turned his back on Christ in his later years. His interest in the Bible through most of his life appears to been more of an intellectual study, rather than a belief in Jesus as Savior and Lord. Late in his life, Schultz identified himself as a secular humanist. Even so, his characters are a true inspiration to us at Christmas time. Merry Christmas, y’all!

The bible is a very confusing book. Seems like it was written by male chauvinist persons. Women are often mistreated and use like objects of servitude. Very convenient to let Got take the blame for it.

Schulz had other work doing single panels for a Minnesota Lutheran publication for teens. They did not look like any of the Peanuts kids, but you could tell who did the work. Recently collected and published.

Actually, the “house of bread” thing was mentioned by the Pope in his Christmas Eve midni-er, “9:30 in the evening” mass

I once had a pastor I was so convinced was the adult Linus I expected him to open his Christmas sermon with, “lights, please.”
