In the 1970’s, Mister Rogers did a show where he went to visit Bob Trow, where he was working on Voting Machines and after reviewing a voting machine explaining that you had only 2 minutes to vote and you should know who to vote for before going to vote.
From the way some people were talking about the lines when they were voting today, four hours doesn’t sound too far off.
(Personally, I didn’t have to wait at all when I voted at 8:00 this morning. But we’re a very small community, so even if everyone showed up at once, I probably wouldn’t have to wait more than 20 minutes.)

If I remember correctly here in New York State there’s a three-minute time limit in which to cast your vote.

In Canada your employer by law has to give you 4 hours to vote… with pay, if your shift means you can only vote on "company"time
