slightly off topic… never, ever, use auto-reply. All that does is tell the spammers they have a live email address, which they will happily share with all their spammer buddies. Just Don’t Do It.
When email was shiny and new the auto-reply “feature” was added as a convenience. It was actually more of pain, especially if the auto-reply went to one or more email accounts also using auto-reply, then that “feature” would cause some serious regenerative feedback that would swamp inboxes and servers. The problem was pretty much resolved when most clients got smart enough not to auto-reply to an auto-reply. But then spamming became a common thing, which really didn’t take too long to happen, and with that the auto-reply feature should have been killed, but it wasn’t. You only have yourself to blame if you use auto-reply and then find yourself swamped by spam.

What does a bear put in his auto-reply message? “Next time you see me, I’ll have a Spring in my step”?

The smart reply would be “Let me sleep on it.”

It won’t work for me. At my age, I’d probably still have to get up at mid-January to go to the bathroom.
