@Number Three It’s not fair that in today’s funny strip Mr Andrew Capp is automatically considered to have done some mayhem as soon as the police sarge layed eyes on our Hero Andy , he not only needs a long holiday but he should ask to be transfered to another station with no Andy types in it , don"t you think? , my avatar today is what happens in our house , Connie wakes me up from my couch dozing while watching the telly so we can go upstairs :o) how was your day ? ours should be quite for me and busy for Connie , making mince pies and Christmas logs for all our clan take care and BCNU Young Lady.
I have a difficult time liking this cartoon, because I do not like drunks. Particularly ones who take advantage of their spouses and friends and acquaintances.

It’s Andy, go ahead & arrest him, he’s surely guilty of something.

An alternative for “nicked” is “nabbed” which I have heard used on American TV.

But we have only saw a snippet of Andy. He could have caused some “mayhem” off screen. Unknown to the police at that moment in time…
My day was quite good. Weekends are boring to me now though. I still hate Sundays. The Christmas party at the bingo hall can’t come fast enough.

It means “You’re under arrest” to British cops.
