This comic strip is a mirror of modern living. We all get weird people coming to our doors, in through media, and we go out to fulfill ambitions and get shot down hard.
Hmm, it seems Sedine’s Dad recognizes El’s outfit as being the clothes from Sedine’s rebellious teenage phase. I’m guessing that would have been a traumatic time for such a doting father to go through…
I look at Bea’s work and like it. Got me to thinking and wondering if Japanese manga are the successor to Nō theater? Both highly stylized with very set conventions and telling the darnedest stories.

I have a feeling that “El” is gonna be a BIG hit with Sam’s parents!

El, Al, it’s all good. Boy, is this great or what? Can’t wait to see how this pans out. A house full of clueless people. Hilarity ensues.
jonesbeltone about 6 years ago
Soooo, has El “come out” to Hubbs? Sedine did refer to her/him as El?
Neo Stryder about 6 years ago
Now they are the favorite of Sedine and Sam’s parents?… I’m not surprised.

It will be OK, well until Roy, Charlene, Ellie, Sir Pinkypaw III, Michaela, and Gabby drop by .

Al has progressed to El, now. A few more years, and maybe she’ll progress to Ellie.

Hubbs arm seems rightly positioned for a discovery. Especially since Ellie seems like the kind of girl who would squeeze Hubbs closer.

It looks like El is sprouting fangs in panel 2?

Did someone bring the fruit cake because it sure is fruity at Sedine’s these days.

This is a very interesting turn of events…Do the parents see El and Hubbs as a gay couple?
