Most likely really hot steam, not fire. Peroxide turns into steam when you run it through a catalyst.Note that this sort of thing – a rocket belt – is one of the few things that amateurs have never succeeded in making and testing, last I heard. Some time ago.

There was this guy in Mexico, same guy that makes the devices you use to turn 50% peroxide (available) to 98% (not available). He needed only to remove his tether for success. Since removing the tether, and failing means death …

Mythbusters tried with a propeller system, it failed. Might work for a lighter driver I suppose.
