Once upon a time a group of nine engineering students got an idea to redo the snowman just to show what could be done, and after almost a year of planning they pooled their meager cash and built a snowman in an enclosed by chain link fence area behind one dorm.
The timing was crucial, and it was carried off exactly right, the snow collected from shaded areas, and the enhanced snowman was built in bout two and a half hours, the fence around this shaded enclosure was locked, and the students left.
The next day the temp went up to the high (US) fifties, and all of the snow on campus went away.
Except for the enhanced snowman.
Amazing how long a three foot tall snowman in the shade caon last if he was enhanced.
Enhanced by including thirty pounds of dry ice in the sectional snow balls used to create the snowman.
